What is the dress code?
Black-tie optional.
Dressing up is encouraged! Tuxedos and gowns not required.
Where is the ceremony and reception?
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at DAR Memorial Continental Hall, 1736 D St. NW in Washington, DC.
The festivities will take place on the C Street side of the building, so it's best to put the corner of C and 17th St NW into your GPS. Once you arrive on the C St. side, you will enter up the Portico steps.
Is there parking available at the venue?
Limited street parking can be found around the venue. There are also parking garages located in the area on New York and Pennsylvania Avenues and 17th and 18th Streets. We would recommend taking an Uber, Lyft, or taxi. All will be readily available in downtown DC.
Is the venue handicap accessible?
Yes, DAR is handicap accessible. The main entrance to Memorial Continental Hall has steps, but slightly further down C Street there is a ramp entrance. The walk is longer, but avoids stairs.
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30PM. We ask that guests arrive a few minutes before to allow time to be seated.
What events will be outdoors?
Weather permitting, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dancing will take place outside. Dinner will be indoors.
